Interview with Genevieve Scholl

Today, we're beginning a series of Valentine Interviews and I'm very happy to introduce you all to some very talented romance authors. Things might get a bit steamy around here, so if you are under the age of eighteen, this blog is not for you!

Our first guest is Genevieve Scholl. Please check out the erotic excerpt after the interview. It is hot!!!

Tricia: Tell us about yourself and why you decided to be a writer.

Genevieve: Well, I am just a small town country girl who wasn’t sure what her passions were in life. Eventually, I decided that my three biggest passions were Photographer, Writing, and Law. I am currently working toward getting my Paralegal degree, I have a photography business on the side, and I write as much as physically possible. I’m living my passions. As for why I decided to be a writer, it all goes back to High School. I was bullied a lot, mostly during my Junior and Senior year, because I had strong feelings for someone and everyone thought it was out of my league, because I wasn’t a cheerleader or very popular or even very smart. Instead of taking my anger out on people, I would go home and write stories to get out my frustrations. I started out basically killing off the bullies, but eventually I evolved into writing more detailed stories and more subtle revenge. After a while, I realized that I loved telling stories! Any story that comes to mind.

Tricia: How would you categorize your romantic writing?

Genevieve: I would say it varies depending on the story, but it would be somewhere between steamy and erotic for most of them. I am publishing a short story on February 3rd that will be considered an Paranormal Erotica.

Tricia: Tell us about your romantic writing.

Genevieve: Well, my most recent work is called Love Claus. It’s about Santa Claus’s son Trent and his journey to find his destined bride and the place he’s meant to be. I have published some mystery romances, but they aren’t available for purchase anymore, because of conflicts.

Tricia: Who is your favorite romance writer?

Genevieve: Definitely Nora Roberts, because she has a way of pulling your heart into the story and wishing you had a romance like the one in the story.

Tricia: What are the qualities of a perfect romantic hero?

Genevieve: Hmmm, that’s an interesting question. I don’t think there is any such thing as a perfect hero. I guess I’d have to say that the perfect romantic hero is the one who is imperfect. The one with scars.

Tricia: What is your greatest challenge as a romance writer?

Genevieve: I’d have to say that my greatest challenge as a writer is self-promotion, but as a romance writer specifically it would have to be making the romance scenes as alluring as the sex scenes, not to mention as detailed.

Note from Genevieve: I will be donating $15 for every $100 made on my books or stories to the MICHAEL J. FOX FOUNDATION FOR PARKINSON’S DISEASE RESEARCH. This is a cause that is very near and dear to my heart and I would like to thank anyone and everyone who helps me achieve this goal. LOVE CLAUS is available on KindlePaperback, and Smashwords.
