Tricia: Hi, Nikki. It's so good to have you! Tell us about yourself and why you decided to be a writer.
Nikki: I started reading romance books at the young age of twelve and was forever enraptured with them. At that same age I decided I was going to be a writer. Though life had other plans I became a published author finally last year 20 years later when I got my first contract.
Tricia: How would you categorize your romantic writing? (sweet, sensual, steamy, erotic, etc.)
Nikki: I straight up write erotic romance.
Tricia: Tell us about your romantic writing.
Nikki: I have currently 6 published books. Mocha Kisses 7/16/2012 from Mocha Memoirs Press, Demon Mine 9/12/12 from Evernight Publishing, Light of the Moon in the Cauldron of Tales Anthology 10/1/2012 Self-published with four other authors, Hot For the Teacher 11/29/2012 from Keith Publications, Milf and Cookies Anthology 12/15/2012 from Hot Ink Press and On Angel’s Wings 12/17/2012 from Evernight Publishing. I have Demon Tempted coming out 2/4/2013 it’s the second book in the Karmic Lust series by Evernight Publishing and Cupid’s Gamble that’s in the Cupid’s Chokehold Anthology from Hot Ink Press 2/7/2013. I have several other works in progress that I’m working on now.
Tricia: Who is your favorite romance writer?
Nikki: Way too many to mention seriously, I’ve been reading romance since I was 12 and I’m now 43.
Tricia: What are the qualities of a perfect romantic hero?
Nikki: I think it truly depends on the story. There has to always the right hero for the right setting. I admit to loving tall, dark and handsome still. But again depends on the story. Cause I have a thing for geeks too!
Tricia: What is your greatest challenge as a romance writer?
Nikki: Writer’s block can be a terrible thing for a writer. But luckily it doesn’t last long.
