Interview with Isabella Johns

Today's guest is Isabella Johns. She's here to tell us about her new book, My Hot Fireman...

What happens when you live across the street from the
workplace of the hottest new member of New York's Bravest?

What starts as a few stolen glances from a sixth story window of Fireman Paul's bare-chested beauty--as he uses a fistful of sponge and an elegantly long thick hose to make the big truck all shiny, red, and clean--turns into a wonderful imagined fantasy when alone in bed.

But that's not enough.

And it isn't long before Fireman Paul extends an invitation
for a very personal tour of the firehouse, one that turns fantasy into reality, one that explodes on the page, sets off all alarms, and creates a connection that is completely hot, raw, naughty and breathtaking.

Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself?

A: Happily married with a beautiful daughter. I love to run and play tennis. I’m a voracious reader.

Q: When did you begin writing?

A: I’ve been writing seriously since college. Only now venturing into publishing.

Q: Can you tell us about your most recent release.

A: MY HOT FIREMAN is the first of the “My Hot…” series. I want to use some of the classic female fantasy figures or fantasies to form realistic connections with highly identifiable female protagonists. In this first story, a happily single working mom doesn’t have the time for dating, but would like a buddy with benefits. What starts out as an exciting voyeuristic experience as she ogles the new fireman who works across the street, turns into the most sensual actual encounter of her life. When we check out the handsome athlete, or actor, or neighbor, or teacher, don’t we all wonder what if? Well this series tells you exactly what would happen when that hot fantasy becomes a reality.

Q: How did you get the idea for the book?

A: The idea came from the desire to make fantasies come true in a realistic way. MY HOT FIREMAN, mmm, well, let’s just say I have a few favorites at my local firehouse.

Q: What was the most challenging aspect of writing your book?

A: I worked hard to make the female a strong, well-developed character. Even though the fireman is a hunk of the highest order, I was also very careful to make him real. The biggest challenge was making the eroticism fresh and unique. I wanted cataclysmic without the clich├ęs.

Q: What is your primary goal as an author?

A: Give people a good read.

Q: What projects are you currently working on?

A: MY HOT MENAGE, volume 2 of the “My Hot…” series. It’s about a woman who discovers that being with two men at once brings her pleasure she never thought possible.

Q: What advice would you offer to new or aspiring authors?

A: Write, write, write. Ignore rejection. Follow your dreams.
