Book Review: The Astral Ordinance (Book II)

The Astral Ordinance (Book II)
By Meltem Y.K.

With special permission from the Ascended Masters, Jayna and Ethan have a spectacular wedding in the Astral plane. Jayna’s family and close friends are also transported to the wedding and they experience the Astral plane for the first time. Life goes on in a happy monotone for the next few years. Jayna and Ethan are together every night, but they are still forbidden to see each other on the Earth plane. One morning, Jayna and Liam do not wake up from their state of suspended animation. Their family is frightened out of their wits and hold vigil by their beds. With a lot of help from Hope and guidance from the other side, the siblings finally awake. Something major has happened on the Astral plane and Jayna is not telling them the whole story, but there is no denying the sense of danger. Their almost perfect lives are about to unravel.

My Review: Jayna's life in the Astral plane is becoming a dream come true. After a beautiful wedding and honeymoon, Jayna and Ethan return to normal life, only seeing each other in their Astral forms. Life is happy as they (along with their friends and family) learn more about the Astral plane and how to use their abilities to help people on Earth. Unfortunately, their cocoon of safety and happiness is threatened when dangerous forces both on Earth and on a lower plane conspire to achieve great power. Now Jayna, Ethan, and their loves ones in order to defend everything they hold dear.

The second book in The Astral Ordinance series takes the series to a new level. While book one explores the Astral plane, explains how everything works, and how the Astral plane relates to the Earth plane, Book Two explores the dangers associated with Astral travel. In Book One, we learn that demons inhabit some of the dense lower planes, but in Book Two, we learn about how the more advanced demons can influence people on Earth.

In Book Two, danger is prevalent. I had goose bumps reading parts of this book. Trust and self control are huge themes in this book as well. For Jayna, it's difficult for her to look past her anger and this is something Ethan helps her struggle with. Forgiveness is another theme in this book. In the Astral plane, forgiveness is offered to anyone who is truly wants it. People are given second chances to prove themselves and to seek redemption. Though Book Two explores some darker themes, goodness and light always triumph, especially when friends band together to protect and support each other. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next book to be released!

My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
